NANOPRECIOUSNESS

TOWARDS CREATIVE COLLABORATION WITH NANOMETRIC STRUCTURES, THROUGH SELF-ASSEMBLY AND PLASMONIC PHENOMENA

COLLABORATION PROJECT with Alice Rendon

In our collaborative research with Alice Rendon, we have delved into the possibilities of interacting with nanostructures and how to establish communication with nanoscale entities. Our proposal explores the potential for co-creation processes with nanoentities, particularly focusing on the utilization of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and self-assembly processes.

We posit that by employing AuNPs and self-assembly, we can adopt a non-demiurgic approach towards atomic and nanostructures, thus enabling a degree of freedom and expression for the matter itself. Additionally, due to the minuscule scale of nano phenomena, it is often challenging to perceive them with the naked eye. To address this, we propose leveraging the properties of AuNPs, such as Plasmonic Resonance and Plasmomechanics, to facilitate a communication channel that bridges the macroscale and microscale.
Through this approach, we envision the potential for enhanced understanding and interaction with nanostructures, ultimately positioning AuNPs as a prominent material for further studies on PostHuman interactions.

The research was presented to the Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo (A.G.C.) the 29/06/2023 and was made possible with the support of the MNF research group at the University of Twente,NL.
